Joanne practices psychoanalytically (Freudian/Lacanian). A psychology graduate she also holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychoanalysis (First Class Honours).

Joanne works in private practice and has worked clinically at the National Maternity Hospital Holles Street, The Mater Hospital Dublin and Our Lady’s Hospital Navan.

Joanne’s practice encompasses both adult and children and clincial supervision.

Joanne is a registered practitioner member of APPI and is currently a member of the Executive and Scientific Committees of the organisation.

Joanne is also a member of The Irish Circle of the Lacanian Orientation (ICLO) iclo which was established in 2009.

As part of her continuing professional development and formation, Joanne presents clinical and theoretical papers at psychoanalytic events such as the APPI congress and ICLO Clinical Conversation seminars. Joanne’s work has also been published in academic journals. Most recently Joanne is lecturing in psychoanalysis on third level programmes.
